Accessibility Statement
Every door. Every device. Every language we can reach.
01. Commitment
Rainbow Services is committed to making our services accessible to every survivor, including people with disabilities, people who use assistive technology, and people whose primary language is not English. Accessibility is not an add-on. It is part of our mission.
If a barrier exists between you and the help you need, we want to know. Please contact us and we will work to remove it.
02. Standards
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA across all pages of this website. We conduct accessibility audits quarterly and after every major release.
We use a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and community feedback to identify and fix issues. Audit records are available on request.
03. Site features
This website includes the following accessibility features:
- Color contrast ratios meeting or exceeding WCAG AA (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
- Full keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are reachable and operable without a mouse
- Visible focus rings on all interactive elements
- Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
- Logical heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3) on every page
- We aim to avoid auto-playing audio and to respect reduced-motion preferences where animation is used.
- Skip-to-content link available via the first Tab keypress on any page
04. Languages
Rainbow Services staff provide direct services in English and Spanish. For all other languages, we arrange professional interpreters at no cost to you, including American Sign Language (ASL) and Indigenous languages spoken in the communities we serve.
Browser-based translation is available for this website via Google Translate and similar tools. We are actively working to publish first-class Spanish-language pages for our most-accessed content.
To request interpretation before an appointment, call 310-547-9343.
05. Physical accommodations
Rainbow works to provide accessible facilities and reasonable accommodations across service locations. Available accommodations include:
- Wheelchair-accessible entrances, corridors, and restrooms
- ASL interpretation, arranged in advance by calling 310-547-9343
- Assistive technology accommodation for meetings and appointments
