Since 1983. Every day since.
Rainbow Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving all of Los Angeles County, headquartered in San Pedro. Shelter, legal services, case management, and support for children alongside parent and guardian survivors of domestic violence.
What we do.
Shelter, legal services, housing, and case management for survivors across Los Angeles County. Every service free of charge, to every survivor, regardless of gender, documentation status, or circumstance.
Not a referral network. A high-intensity, place-rooted team working the same communities across Los Angeles County since 1983.
Four decades on the same block.
Rainbow Services was founded in 1983 in San Pedro, California, by community members who saw that survivors of domestic violence had nowhere to turn. What began as a volunteer-run crisis line has grown into a survivor-centered nonprofit serving all of Los Angeles County. Today Rainbow operates emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal services, case management, and basic support for children alongside their parent or guardian survivors, serving nearly 4,000 individuals in FY2024–25.
Experienced. Committed.
Brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience focused on strengthening organizations, advancing support and resources for communities, and building sustainable systems that allow mission-driven work to thrive.
CA-licensed attorney with more than 23 years advocating for the rights of DV, sexual assault, and stalking victims, and 15+ years of program management.
Previously led development at the Los Angeles Mission on Skid Row. Leads Rainbow’s fundraising strategy and the modernization of its donor, data, and digital systems. That infrastructure lets frontline staff focus on survivors, not paperwork.
Rainbow Services is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that meets regularly to provide strategic oversight, financial accountability, and fiduciary stewardship of the organization. Board members serve without compensation and bring expertise across law, finance, healthcare, education, and community leadership.
Beyond the executive team, Rainbow’s program managers and direct-service staff include people who have been here for over a decade and a half, in some cases nearly thirty years. Long staff tenure is not a perk. It is the infrastructure that makes survivor-led case management possible. Continuity of relationship is continuity of care.
